With Mum and Dad coming to visit after their trip to Thailand and Laos I decided a relaxing break away in Bali would do us all well. I booked a two bedroom villa with a private pool and helper - we were set. 5 nights of pure bliss!
I had heard quite a lot of negative comments about Bali so never had been in a rush to visit, however I was pleased I had done my research and choose to stay in Seminyak rather than the party central Kuta.
The villa was 5 minutes walk from the main street of Seminyak which had every cuisine imaginable. No prizes for guessing where we went every day for coffee, lunch and dinner.
One day we did a bike tour for a day - was great to see a lot more of Bali including cycling through small country lanes and "villages" as well as rice paddies.
